Twitter is blocked account of human rights defenders.

Yesterday, associates of our organization was created an account on Twitter - RussiaKremlin_E. Of course, lately it has become sort of Twitter source of information thanks to it's instant messaging system, publication of information. We decided to use this system to publish our information notes.

From our side everything was done by the rules of the system: select the free name account, registered the real email address and added a few notes.

Eventually, after several hours of existence, our account has been blocked and deleted from the system.

Yes, the notes were of a political hue, but many politicians and parties have accounts on Twitter and pushut about politics. Yes, and no one said that on Twitter you can not write about politics.

The Freedom Russia Organization claims that Twitter in Russia does not respect the right of citizens to freedom of speech and thought. Twitter blocked accounts of users who write their author's point of the political situation in Russia - and usually this view is a criticism of current government and the regime. And what kind of regime will not tolerate criticism? The Freedom Russia Organization  said that the service is prompt notes and publications, Twitter has a political connotation, moreover, most likely, all messages are reviewed, and in the case of non compliance with censorship - blocked. Thus Twitter defamatory itself as simply the exchange of information portal.

We urge all human rights defenders to attend to this matter and to defend the right to freedom of speech and thought! Everyone has the right to be heard - this is 21st Сentury, not age of tyrants and empires!
