VLADIVOSTOK, May 30 - RIA Novosti. Investigators opened a criminal case on Sunday in connection with an armed attack on a police patrol car on Saturday in the Primorie territory, which resulted in one of the two traffic police officers sent to the hospital with a critical wound. The second one was not injured, the representative of the regional police department told RIA News.

"An armed attack on a police vehicle with two officers took place on May 29 in the afternoon, on the road through the taiga in Jaroslavkiy area. One of the policemen was injured and hospitalized, the other one was not injured," - the representative said.

According to him, the criminal case was opened under the article 317 (attempt to harm the life of a police officer), which means 12 to 20 years sentence if proven guilty.

"Upon the conclusion of experts, they fired on the vehicle from one assault rifle and two hunting rifles. Patrol police car riddled with bullets. It was pure luck the bullets did not hit the gas tank," - said the representative of the local UVD.

He noted that an armed police group with a dog was sent to hunt the attackers. The dog took the trail near the river but lost it because the attackers, apparently, went wading in the water. The search continues.

On June 7 Primorie authorities reported that they are continuing the search for a Russian combat group. Officials confirmed, that the Russian partisans have conducted the following operations:

1. May 27 - execution of an MVD operative. The policeman was stabbed in the OVD office in Rakitno village of Dalnerechensk area. The Russian partisans took bulletproof vests, radios, police uniforms and official identification of the victim as trophies.

2. May 29 - attack on a police car with two officers the at 61-kilometer section of "Far-Spassk Varfolomeyevkaya" highway.

3. The burning of a police station in the Varfolomeyevkaya village.

The commander of the guerrilla group is a Primorie separatist Roman Muromtsev. The guerrilla group also includes Alexander Cladkih and Andrei Suhorada.

Tccording to the detectives, the group is armed with a Kalashnikov rifle and several hunting rifles and pistols. FSB squads were sent to the region to combat the partisans, as well as more than
police officers with trained dogs. The "interception" mode was issued.

Punitive squads lost track of guerrillas and do not know where to look, for the Taiga is large and dense.

Meanwhile, an escape of Russian prisoners from one of the many prisons in the territory of the Amur region was reported in the beginning of June. The fugitives hid in the Ussuri Taiga forests, and may join or have already joined the Russian Combat Group of Roman Muromtsev.
