Yesterday, July 14, directly under the windows of the White House in Moscow, 60 young people from the pro-Kremlin organizations without any prior permission and were invited to the sound of the orchestra were singing songs of Vladimir Putin. I want to emphasize the fact that their share with no one to negotiate and no one punished.

Today, four (4) mеn sat in a park on the Solovetsky Stone on Lubyanka Square. They sat in silence. The meaning of their action was understandable only to them: they thus protesting against the imprisonment of a member of the "Other Russia", human rights activist Taisiya Osipova.

Police response was immediate and relentless. According to Ilya Varlamov, they were immediately detained in a rude manner, without any apparent reason, it is applicable to brute force. 2 people have received physical injuries. And no longer detained four people seated, and only seven (including photo-journalists). Although they did not chanted, waved signs and do not in general interfere with anyone - they just sat in the Square near the Solovetsky Stone. The record as reasons for the detention was "to illegally entering the park."

As seen from the photo essay Varlamov, Moscow police action on it's senseless brutality is no different now from the actions of their Belarussian colleagues. There have been arrested for applause, and in Russia, because collectively sat on the ground near the monument.

Comment by Dmitriy Arbatov (human rights activist and member of the "Freedom Russia" and member of the "Russia Democratic Committee"):

- I was not surprised by how much or the fact that the pro-Kremlin youth detained nobody around the White House, but opposition leaders detained by simple sitting in the Square in the Lubyanka. After all, everyone has long known that the opposition do not have to breathe freely in Russia. Any action, meeting, gathering of citizens, collective campaign or simply meet massive opposition turn to us detentions, and in the worst case - arrest for 5-10 days.

- The fact that police used physical force to the citizens that were just sitting in the park, says a lot. In Russia there are no human rights and freedoms. In Russia there is no respect for human dignity. In Russia - the mess. Russia has long been spit on all values ??of a free and democratic world, such as Humanity, Freedom, equality, political pluralism, freedom of assembly, media, rule of law - all of this isn't working in Russia.

- You know, I've never seen any such New York City Police arrested someone for being a man is sitting in Central Park on the rocks ... And what's more - I've never seen a New York police to use physical force to the law-abiding citizens.

- The free world must stand up for democratic values ??in Russia that destroyed by the Kremlin. If the opposition does not get help from the world's democracies representatives, while the opposition sooner or later take up arms.
